VHS
VHS camcorders arrived in the 1980’s. These tapes commonly recorded up to 2 hours, but some could change the recording speed to 4, 6 or 8 hours.

VHS-C
As technology progressed, VHS tapes were made more compact, thus the VHS-C. Due to their smaller size, they had less recording time than VHS.

8mm
8mm cassette tapes quality evolved over time. I can convert 8mm, Hi8 and Digital8 cassette tape formats.

MiniDV
The smallest of the video tapes, these were released in the mid-90’s. Being smaller than the rest, they could record less before becoming full. However, the quality was better.

8mm
8mm film have larger rectangular shaped sprocket holes for guiding the film during filming and playback.
Super8
Super 8 originally came in a cartridge format that was put on an individual reel once developed. Super 8 film has smaller square shaped sprocket holes.
Some Super8 film had the ability to record audio on a strip along the film. While I can convert the video component, I am unable to convert the audio portion.

Pricing
- Setup Fee: $25
- Transfer Fee: $0.30 per slide or photo
* Photographs can be scanned at higher resolutions for an additional $0.30 for every increase of 300 dpi.
Slides
Housed in a 2×2 inch frame with varying film dimensions. I can convert 35mm, 110 , 126 and 127 slides.
Photos
I can scan photographs up to 8.5×11.7 inches at up to 4800 dpi.
What You Get
At In the Nick O’ Time, you can either have your items converted onto DVD or digital files or both!
DVD
The DVD option will get you each video on its own DVD disc. There is no extra cost beyond the per item transfer fee for the DVD option. However, extra DVD copies are $5.00 each.
USB
The USB option will get you each video converted to a digital file – MP4 for videos, JPEG or PNG for images. These will be stored on a USB stick* In addition to the per item transfer fee, there is a $10 storage fee for the USB option.
* More than one USB stick may be required for large orders.
